He was a founding board member of First Commercial Bank of Tampa Bay in 1989 and served as its chairman for 22 years and as its president and chief executive officer from 2001 till 2011. He has extensive litigation experience and is a qualified expert on banking law matters.

The law firm of Albert Salem and Associates was founded by Albert M. Salem, Jr., in 1972 in Tampa, Florida, following the merger of a law firm in which he was a partner for over six years.

Albert Salem, Jr., has been certified by the Florida Bar in civial commercial and business law litigation and by the American Trial Lawyers Association, Medical Lawyers Association and North Carolina Bar Association, as well, in civil and personal injury litigation. He is admitted to practice before the Florida Bar, North Carolina Bar, the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Military Appeals and numerous other state and federal trial and appellate courts.

Diana K. Wallace joined the firm in 1984 upon graduation from Ohio State School of Law. Albert Salem III, a former real estate appraiser, joined the firm upon graduation from Stetson School of Law in 1991.

For several years during the 1980ís, the firm merged with another Tampa firm and was known as Yado, Salem, Keel, Nelson and Bergmann for several years.
